Employment :: UXO Technician III
Education:
Graduate of US Department of Defense joint service EOD School,
plus one or more additional Department of Defense certified EOD/UXO advanced training programs such as the Army Bomb Disposal School at Aberdeen, MD.
plus eight years practical experience in all aspects of UXO remediation.

Graduate of a U.S. Government accredited and DOD certified civilian UXO program,
plus carry at least a UXO Tech III rating,
plus 8 years Significant experience in all aspects of UXO remediation.

Graduate of one or more of the following programs, Army Bomb Disposal School at Aberdeen, MD, Naval EOD School, or Department of Defense certified UXO Training.
Training:
Successful completion of NWT site and job specific training.
Job Description:
- Performs unexploded ordnance disposal (UXO).
- Locates, identifies, and disposes of U.S. and foreign conventional and chemical munitions.
- Facilitates demilitarization and removal of UXO.
- Researches and identifies ordnance using military and civilian technical publications, and NWT operating procedures and policies.
- Identifies requirements for, utilizes and maintains NWT tools, equipment, and vehicles.
- Detects, identifies, assess condition, and marks location of unexploded and practice ordnance.
- Qualified and capable of performing the duties of UXO Team Leader. Supervises the Location of surface and subsurface UXO using visual means and military and/or civilian magnetometers.
- Performs operator maintenance on locating instruments and equipment.
- Perform excavation procedures on buried UXO by manual and mechanical means.
- Prepare an on-site safe holding area and/or disposal site for UXO.
